Andrew Zaiser spent his entire childhood growing up in the small town of Washington, Illinois. He found a passion for sports before he could even walk, and was obsessed with the Chicago Cubs, Bears, Bulls, and Notre Dame Football. Each birthday was spent cheering on the Cubbies from the bleacher seats. Andrew began his personal sports career while attending District 50 Beverly Manor in Sunnyland, Illinois. Track, football, basketball, and baseball filled his after-school schedule and upon graduation from Beverly Manor, he was presented with the American Legion Post 100 Athlete of the Year Award. Andrew then went on to attend Washington Community High School, where he put his focus on playing baseball and football.

During high school, he found a newfound passion while taking Journalism 101 his freshmen year, and began exploring his new talent of writing and blending it with his passion for sports. He wrote for the high school newspaper all four years at Washington High School before graduating in 2013. After high school, Andrew attended Illinois Central College where he was hired as the Sports Editor for the ICC Harbinger. He won two national awards for articles that he covered in the Sports News Category and Sports Editorial.

In 2022 Andrew began working as a news reporter at WMBD News Channel 31 in Peoria, and shortly thereafter accepted a job as a salesman for Uftring Chevrolet where he gained valuable sales tools. Then in May of 2024, Andrew finally found his home at Royal Publishing where he was hired as a sales representative. It was the perfect blend of his passion for sports and the excitement that high school sports bring to the community. That, along with Andrew’s sales ability, made him the perfect choice for the Peoria Branch Sales Manager position when it became available late in 2025.

Andrew’s life is very full as he balances his job, being a full-time dad to his 8-year-old son Carter, and being heavily involved with the recovery community in the Peoria area.

A quote that Andrew uses to motivate others in the workplace and outside of it is “Fall down 7 times, stand up 8. Never give up.” He is excited for this new opportunity to help lead others to finding the success and stability of a career that he had always longed for and finally found.
